Dementia Information, Awareness, and Afternoon Tea

Whether you are living with dementia, caring for a loved one, or supporting a family member, this event will provide practical information, advice and opportunities to connect with local organisations that can help.

Find out about:

  • Local dementia support services available across Dudley borough
    • Sunshine Club
    • Alzheimer’s UK
    • Local support groups and community organisations
  • speak with one of our team about your individual circumstances
    • Benefits and financial entitlements
    • Lasting Power of Attorney and future planning
  • find out about ‘Paying for care’ (Adult Social Care), including:
    • Care at home
    • Residential and nursing care
    • Understanding financial assessments

We will also have health and wellbeing activities including

  • guided meditation
  • mini Indian Head Massage
  • free blood pressure checks (delivered by Dudley Stroke Association)

Participants will also be able to attend our Afternoon Tea from 1pm (places must be booked – please advise of any dietary requirements)

This event is designed to help people living with dementia and their carers to

  • Understand the support available
  • Access practical advice
  • Connect with local organisations
  • Learn about financial and legal matters
  • Improve confidence in navigating services
  • Meet others with shared experiences
