18th November 7pm -8.30pm (Zoom Event) – Recognising Your Rights as an Unpaid Carer

November 18, 2024 @ 19:00 - 20:30

Do you provide unpaid care to a family member, neighbour, or friend who couldn’t manage alone?

Is this person in need of your help due to frailty, age, physical illness, mental health condition, or addiction?

If your answer is yes, then join us on November 18 at 7pm for a vital online event as part of Carers Rights Day 2024.

This year’s theme, Recognising Your Rights, highlights the importance of understanding your entitlements as an unpaid carer and knowing where to access support.

This Zoom event will bring together expert speakers to explore fundamental rights that support unpaid carers, including;

  • Understanding your right to unpaid Carer’s Leave
  • Requesting flexible working arrangements
  • Asking your GP to identify you as a Carer and why this is important
  • Protection against discrimination or harassment
  • Requesting a Carer’s assessment
  • Being involved when the person you care for is discharged from hospital

Don’t miss this chance to ensure you’re well-informed and fully supported in your caring role.
