The information below is about your personal information and how we use it
Who we are
Forward Carers is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise whose aim is to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of unpaid Carers, young and old, including parent carers. If you have questions about the personal information we have about you, or if you need assistance, feel free to reach out. If you are under 13, your parent or guardian would need to contact us on your behalf. If you are over 13, you can contact our Data Protection Officer at info@forwardcarers.org.uk.

For children aged 10-13 years old:
If you are between the ages of 10 and 13, we require consent from your parent or guardian to collect and use your personal information. Carers cannot give consent on behalf of children under 13. We will only collect information necessary for the services you request, and we will ensure that you understand how your information is used.
For young people aged 13-18 years old:
If you are between the ages of 13 and 18, you have the right to provide consent for the collection and use of your personal information. We will explain to you how your information is used and ensure that you understand your rights.
Where we get your personal data from and what we do with it
We collect personal data directly from you or from your parent or guardian if you are under 13. If you are receiving support from us, we may also obtain information from professionals such as social workers. We use this information to provide you with the support you need and ensure your well-being.
Sharing Your Information to Provide Support
We work with Dudley Council to run the Carer Friendly Dudley website. These organisations are responsible for looking after your information. Sometimes, we might need to share your information with them if it’s really important to help you, or if the law says we have to.
