SUMMARY:Blankets for Women in Ethiopia – Get Involved
DESCRIPTION:A local community initiative is calling for knitted squares to help create blankets for women recovering from childbirth injuries in Ethiopia. \nYou can help by knitting 6 inch / 15 cm squares using double knit yarn in bright colours using a 4mm (UK8) needle.. These squares will be joined into full blankets and sent to Hamlin Fistula hospitals\, where each one offers comfort\, care\, and dignity to women during recovery. \n📍 Drop-off points:\nSedgley Community Centre\n• Monday 7–9pm\n• Wednesday 2–4pm \nBeacon Crafts\, Bull Ring\, Sedgley\n(during opening hours) \nDeadline for donations: Monday 21st September 2026 \nEvery square makes a difference 💛\nLet’s come together as a community to support women across the world. \nFor more information: 07473 885197\nkarenm_moore@sky.com
